The Sanofi Award aims to support innovative research in the field of severe obstructive respiratory diseases, where unmet medical needs remain significant. The two prizes are intended to recognise exceptional or promising projects that advance our understanding of and treatment for the following conditions: asthma, COPD or bronchiectasis.
By promoting excellence in research in Belgium, Sanofi aims to achieve scientific advances that will improve the quality of life for people suffering from obstructive lung diseases.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

AIRBREES \u2013 A study into the impact of environmental respiratory exposures on bronchiectasis<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The management of bronchiectasis is moving towards a personalised approach based on the identification of \u2018treatable traits\u2019. However, the role of environmental factors and lifestyle remains poorly understood. We have therefore launched an exploratory study in two Flemish hospitals. Patients complete an exposure questionnaire based on the European EXIMIOUS and ECRHS projects. These data are combined with\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
