Deze prijs is een eerbetoon aan iemand die tijdens zijn of haar loopbaan een uitzonderlijke rol heeft gespeeld in de ontwikkeling en uitbreiding van de longgezondheidszorg in Belgi\u00eb. Prof. Marc Noppen (UZ Brussel)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Een pionier op het gebied van de moderne longgeneeskunde<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Marc Noppen heeft wereldwijd zijn stempel gedrukt op het gebied van de interventionele pneumologie. Hij stond met name aan de basis van de ontwikkeling van zijn eigen endobronchiale stent en speelde een sleutelrol bij de herziening van de internationale richtlijnen voor de behandeling van primaire spontane pneumothorax. Samen met zijn collega\u2019s heeft hij ook de minimaal invasieve thoracoscopische sympathicolyse ontwikkeld voor de behandeling van essenti\u00eble hyperhidrose, het centrale onderwerp van zijn proefschrift.
