The creation of a National Asthma Plan for Belgium in collaboration with the Belgian Lung Foundation and the new Advocacy Council established within the BeRS (chairs: Didier Cataldo & Pieter Goeminne)

BSAR

BSAR is a secure web-based database which accepts password-protected, anonymised data, subject to fully informed written consent.

The aim of the registry is to collect epidemiological and clinical data in order to raise awareness of severe asthma, to identify various phenotypes, to promote optimal care for these patients, and to serve as a valuable platform for patients to participate in trials of new drugs for severe asthma. Since its inception in 2009, more than 1,800 patients with severe asthma recruited from across the country have been included in the registry. Data from individual centres can be downloaded by registered users.
