Peggy has now been working passionately for BeRS for six years. Working closely with the members of the Board of Directors, she oversees all the organisation’s activities and enjoys taking on new projects. Her perfectionist approach presents a daily challenge for her colleagues, who have to juggle her many ideas and boundless enthusiasm. Nevertheless, she attaches great importance to everyone’s well-being and ensures that every team member has the opportunity to make the most of their talents. Her commitment to fostering a stimulating working environment contributes to the team’s dynamism and success. Her ability to come up with innovative ideas and her unwavering dedication make her an essential pillar of the team.

Katoo, the youngest member of the team, embodies quiet strength. Her outward calm belies a remarkable ability to find solutions with astonishing efficiency. She is eager to learn and never shies away from a challenge. She has taken charge of managing the BeRS Academy platform with admirable determination. Very close to the patients, Katoo has thrown herself wholeheartedly into the Belgian Lung Foundation’s mission and projects and is deeply passionate about them. She brings a fresh energy to the team, a youthful dynamism and an unfailingly positive attitude.

Jana was a real New Year’s gift to us. She works part-time for the Belgian Lung Foundation, collaborating closely with the BeRS’s new ‘Advocacy Council’. At the same time, she is a researcher in Hasselt. Driven by a deep sense of justice, she has immersed herself in the BeLF’s work to raise public awareness of respiratory health and champion patients’ wellbeing. Her sharp and critical eye means she never hesitates to express her opinions firmly, committing herself fully to the cause. Her discipline and perseverance, honed through sport, underpin her work ethic and focus, and serve as an example to her colleagues.
